Sometimes my mum feels like a stranger.
She has always been loud and I have always been the quiet one in the family,
When I say this to her, she says:
“That’s just how I am, I don’t even realise I’m being loud.”
I recently told her that we don’t really share many similarities like some mothers and daughters do, and she bellowed back that this was not true.
I finally said, “Let’s just agree to disagree!”
She said, “OK, but you don’t need to shout.”
We both laughed as I said, “Sorry I didn’t realise I was doing it.”
